    Zine Fair 2014

Yuck ‘n Yum’s annual zine fair returns!

Now in its third year, we’re teaming up with our old pals HMC and hosting it in their gallery space on September 13th. We’ll be there and open to the public from 12pm – 5pm. With events/talks/music throughout the day. We’ve also managed to wrangle ourselves into the Dundee Doors Open Day; so fingers crossed for much footfall!

We’re looking for zinesters who want to share/sell/network/collaborate on the day. Our stalls cost £5, but we’re open to bartering! Stalls are 3ft by 2ft.

YUCK ‘N YUM WINTER EDITION DEADLINE

    Hi all Yucks ‘n Yum,

The deadline for the winter edition is nearly upon us, if you would like to submit, please send your work for consideration to: submissions@yucknyum.co.uk

The printed image must be black and white, we will not consider your entry otherwise.
Images should be 300 dpi, jpegs are preferred. Written articles should be compatible with microsoft word. Each page in the zine is a5.

If you are interested in submitting a sound piece or video work for the
online version we would prefer audio work in mp3 and video work as a quick
    time mov file.

DEADLINE IS THE 16TH OF NOVEMBER.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR THE AUTUMN ISSUE IS THE TENTH OF SEPTEMBER

The Autumn ‘09 issue of Yuck ‘n Yum will be launched end of September.

The deadline for submissions for this issue is Thursday the 10th of September.

You can submit work for consideration to: submissions@yucknyum.co.uk

The idea of distribution behind Yuck ‘n Yum is that it can be viewed online and/or printed off on the viewer’s home printer. As a result, the printed image must be black and white, and high contrast images work best due to differing print qualities. You can submit one piece for both methods, or you might prefer to produce something for the online version that differs slightly from the printed version or complements or references it – something which takes advantage of the media it is presented in, such as an audio project, a short video piece, or animation, for example. It’s totally up to you.

Images should be 300 dpi, jpegs are preferred. Written articles should be
compatible with microsoft word. Each page in the zine is a5.
If you are interested in submitting a sound piece or video work for the
online version we would prefer audio work in mp3 and video work as a quick
time mov file. Could you also include the title of the work at time of submission.

Unfortunately, our funds cover web expenses and the production of sample copies available at the launch and sent out to various galleries etc., so we cannot afford to pay you.
